Pella told deputies he was driving the truck and dropping it at a local motel, where his boss who was also on scene was going to take it back to Reno later in the evening. Pella told deputies he works for a moving company.

— A 35-year-old Yucaipa, Calif. woman was arrested in the 3500 block of Gordon Street for allegedly purchasing alcohol for minors as well as obstructing.
According to the report, deputies were patrolling in the area of Highway 50 near a convenience store/gas station when they observed a vehicle with no license plates pull into the parking lot.
The vehicle initially pulled into a parking spot near the front of the store, but moved to approximately three different parking spots within a ten minute period, according to the report.
Deputies decided to watch the vehicle due to the suspicious activity, and saw two male subjects and a female subject exit the vehicle and go into the store. A few minutes later, the male subjects exited the store with no purchases, and the woman exited shortly after with a plastic bag and a case of beer.
The subjects returned to the vehicle and began to leave the store. Deputies initiated a traffic stop, and inside found the the two male subjects were under the age of 21.
Deputies also recognized the female subject, as she had been contacted by deputies the night before as an intoxicated person.
Once again, the woman was extremely intoxicated, and deputies noticed the alcohol in the back seat of the vehicle next to the woman and one of the male subjects.
Nicole advised she had just met the two men and that they were “giving her a ride somewhere.” When deputies asked where she was going, she said “Lake Tahoe or down the road.”
One of the male subjects advised that they had given the woman money so she would purchase alcohol for them.
Deputies asked the woman if she had purchased alcohol for the men, and she said yes, but she had assumed they were both of age.
Deputies took her into custody, at which point she became “extremely agitated and upset,” according to the report. She began cursing and “flailing her feet” toward the deputies.
She was at first transported to the jail, but it was determined her PBT was too high and she was refused entry. She was transported to the hospital for medical clearance before returning her to jail.

— A Carson City man was arrested in the 1800 block of N. Carson Street for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and criminal contempt.
Deputies were dispatched to a local discount grocery store on a report of an assault with a deadly weapon.
Deputies met with William Liggett, who told deputies a man had pointed a gun at his head a few days prior at a local N. Carson Street motel.
Liggett said he was at a party and the man had accused him of stealing a cell phone and put a gun to his head.
When trying to get further information, Liggett was unable to provide coherent information about the incident, according to deputies, and continued to change the suspect’s description and was inconsistent with what occurred.
Deputies suspected the man was under the influence of drugs and was unable to think clearly. Liggett admitted to being under the influence of marijuana, but hadn’t used methamphetamine in a week.
Deputies learned he was on Alternative Sentencing with the only condition to obey all laws. Deputies asked if they could search his person and he consented.
On his person, deputies found small circular container which contained small, dirty cotton balls consistent with a drug kit. Two syringes, one empty and one loaded with a red-colored substance were also located; the loaded syringe tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine.
He was taken into custody without issue.
