Partnership Carson City free Family Health and Wellness webinar series tackles today's current issues
Partnership Carson City is teaming up with Carson High School to bring back the Family Engagement Series, a nine-week free webinar series designed to promote health and wellness for families.
The series starts Thursday, Feb. 18 and runs through Thursday, April 15 with all webinars held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Zoom.
During the series, experts talk about real challenges facing families today including vaping dangers, drugs’ effects on the brain, truths about tobacco, marijuana use and other topics including mindfulness and how to create safe and drug-free school environments.
“After the successful Family Engagement Series we held last year, we’re beyond excited to bring it back and discuss contemporary topics with families and students in a judgement-free and safe space,” said Samantha Szoyka, youth program coordinator for Partnership Carson City. “Our goal is for families to leave each webinar feeling closer and more prepared to have honest conversations and tackle the issues head on.”
