UPDATE: 9:55AM: The latest report from NDOT is that U.S. Highway 395 at the Cradlebaugh Bridge is now open, but to only one lane each direction and controlled with flaggers. Go here for Twitter updates from NHP Northern Command.
Carson City Visitors Bureau Executive Director Joel Dunn reported by telephone that both southbound lanes of the highway are still closed and NDOT has opened both lanes on the northbound (east) side of the U.S. 395 to two-way traffic.
He said traffic is being diverted from just south of the bridge to about the Silver City RV Park on the north end.
Motorists can expect delays due to single lane traffic restrictions over the bridge.

The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) is reporting Friday morning that U.S. Highway 395 South in the Carson Valley is closed at the Cradlebaugh Bridge over the Carson River due to water on the roadway.
Motorists are advised to find an alternate route.
NDOT reports chain and snow tire requirements on mountain highways Friday morning as well, including U.S. Highway 50 near Spooner Summit in Carson City and Douglas County, a two and a half mile stretch of State Route 341 in Storey County, SR 28 between Douglas and Washoe counties, seven miles of SR 207 in Douglas County, and about 14 miles on SR 431 in Washoe County.
Highway 50 West between Glennbrook and the Cave Rock Tunnel remains closed Friday morning due to rock slides in the area.
Both Muller and Genoa lanes in the Carson Valley also remain closed Friday morning because of either downed power lines or flooding onto the roadway, respectively.
NDOT reports no other road closures in the area at this hour.
