Single? Try Furry Speed Dating on Valentine’s Day
Looking to meet your match made in heaven? Why not try Furry Speed Dating? This unique event pairs people and pets during a true — you guessed it — speed dating affair.
Join Nevada Humane Society on Saturday, Feb. 14 to meet some of the most eligible dogs and cats in the shelter. They’ll put their best paw forward and try to impress prospective adopters who will meet multiple eligible furry bachelors and bachelorettes with the goal of falling in love.
The ultimate prize, of course, would be finding your furry soul mate and taking him or her home. Furry Speed Dating takes place from 12 noon to 3 p.m. on Valentine’s Day at both NHS in Reno and Carson City.
Adopt before 1 p.m. and you can take $10 off the standard adoption fee! Plus, all fees are waived for all adult cats over the age of three. All cats and dogs are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, services normally costing over $240.
Nevada Humane Society is open for adoptions (in Reno at 2825 Longley Lane and in Carson City at 3770 Butti Way) seven days a week, from 11:00 am to 6:30 pm and an hour earlier at 10:00 am on Saturdays. For more information, visit www.nevadahumanesociety.org or call 775-856-2000.
