Sunday, February 9
— Muscle Powered to host Carson City bike ride this Sunday. 9 a.m. Meet at Fremont Elementary School, 1511 Firebox Rd, Carson City in the south parking lot, next to the Linear Ditch Trail. Come join Muscle Powered for a free, guided group walk, hike, or ride around Carson City. Muscle Powered is a local non-profit organization that promotes walking, hiking, biking and trail building.
— Sweetheart Doubles Tournament. 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Carson Lanes Family Fun Center, 4600 Snyder Ave. The fun, favorite and annual house tournament has returned! The cost is $40 per couple for three games at a nine-pin format. Enter for a chance to win cash and prizes. There will be plenty of food and drink specials too!
— Nevada State Museum continues 150th anniversary of the Carson City Mint with weekend activities for kids. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 600 N. Carson St. As part of its celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Carson City Mint — Mint 150 — the museum is hosting Kids Minting Days on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 8-9. Children 17 and younger are admitted for free and each child will receive a commemorative copper medallion memorializing the Mint’s 150th anniversary.
— Nevada Artists Association New Year's Show. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 449 W. King St. NAA presents its New Year's Show with 124 entries by member artists. Additionally, water colorist, Melanie Walters and potter, Nancy Brownrigg are our Featured Artists and have their exhibits on the back wall of the Gallery. These shows run through February 14. The Gallery is located at 449 W. King Street and is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. everyday except Monday. — NRA's Refuse to Be A Victim Seminar. 1 to 5 p.m. at Battle Born Ammunition and Firearms Inc., 4630 US Highway 50 in Carson City. The National Rifle Association’s award-winning crime prevention and personal safety seminar, Refuse To Be A Victim®, will be held Sunday February 9th 2020 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at Battle Born Ammunition & Firearms Training Room. 4630 US Highway 50 E Unit 7 Carson City NV 89701
— Tibetan Heart Yoga. 2 to 4:30 p.m. at Carson City Yoga. Tibetan Heart Yoga is a powerful blending of Tibetan and Indian wisdom and movement traditions. The Tibetan Heart Yoga practices work through application of both inner and outer methods.
— First Take Rocks to play at Max Casino. 3 to 7 p.m. at 900 S. Carson St. First Take Rocks! Hits the stage in the Cabaret Lounge inside Max Casino. Let's dance the night away to the amazing sounds of the 50's.
