Carson City investigators make arrests in connection with recent business burglaries
Carson City sheriff’s detectives who have been investigating a rash of recent commercial burglaries made arrests at a Condor Circle home Wednesday with two of the suspects linked to the crimes.
According to Carson City Sheriff’s Office Capt. Brian Humphrey, detectives spent the past three weeks looking into the business-related burglaries, with each crime sharing a common person and vehicle of interest.
One of the suspects, Paul Vigil, 26, who was previously arrested and convicted last year for burglary and was on probation for it when he absconded a parole hearing, was wanted through the Department of Parole and Probation.
Based on the investigation a search warrant was obtained at a Condor Circle address. The Carson City Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Department of Parole and Probation, Tri-Net, Nevada Department of Public Safety, Juvenile Probation and the Carson City Fire Department.
Vigil faces a felony warrant charge of violation of Parole and Probation and has also been tied to the commercial burglaries, said Humphrey. As of Wednesday night he faces the following charges: state probation violation, commercial burglary, grand larceny, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He's being held without bail for the state probation violation charge.
Detectives were at the Condor Circle home Wednesday afternoon searching the residence. Stolen property linked to at least two of the commercial burglaries has been recovered from the home, said Humphrey.
At the residence, deputies located the vehicle of interest in the burglaries, a white Prius, owned by Kesa Pascal, who was also arrested and faces a charge of harboring a fugitive. As of Wednesday night she faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, harboring a fugitive, maintaining a drug house, and possession of drug paraphernalia Bail: $10,000.
A third person at the residence faces a misdemeanor charge of being an ex-felon failing to register, said Humphrey. A fourth person who was detained was released.
“We are currently and activity investigating other recent burglaries and the potential of other suspects involved,” said Humphrey.
