Carson City student on bicycle struck by vehicle, not seriously injured
Carson City Sheriff's Office and Carson City Fire Department responded to an incident Wednesday morning involving a Carson High School student on a bicycle who was struck by a vehicle. The student was reportedly not injured.
According to a news release from the school district, a traffic incident occurred Wednesday morning involving a Carson High student who was riding their bicycle to school. The accident occurred at approximately 7:30 a.m.
The student was struck by the vehicle while the driver was exiting the school parking lot, turning northbound onto North Saliman Road, the news release states.
The student was shaken up, but there were no reported injuries at this time, according to the release.
Carson City Sheriff’s Student Resource Officers and Carson City Fire responded to the scene. The accident is being investigated by the Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit, the release concludes.
