Nevada unemployment edges upward in December; Carson City at 3.9 percent
Seasonally adjusted estimates account for regularly seen economic patterns, with the following estimates not seasonally adjusted. In the three Metropolitan Statistical Areas, the unemployment rates in December were 3.9 percent in Carson City, 3.4 percent in Reno and 5.4 percent in the Las Vegas area.
In Nevada’s counties, the lowest unemployment rate was in Lander County at 2.7 percent, and Nye County had the highest rate at 5.7 percent.
