Water line break affects South Carson City water customers; city public works doing repairs
A water line break Wednesday morning in the Eagle Station area between South Carson Street and Silver Sage is causing service disruption, including the Southpointe Drive area, according to Carson City Public Works.
According to a social media post at 10:12 a..m. the estimated time of repair is approximately five hours.
Residents in the affected areas may experience discolored water and are advised not to wash light colored laundry if their water is discolored, according to public works, directing residents to www.carson.org/wateralert for more information, including a map of the affected area. For any questions or concerns public works provided a telephone number, 775-887-2355.
Carson Now reader Mary Webb said water from the break is running down Silver Sage and that she contacted Public Works about the incident.
Webb said the latest water line issue in the area is the third time in six months there’s been water running down Silver Sage and affecting residents’ water supply. She was told the cause of the break is unknown at this time.
