Fremont Elementary Students being rezoned to Eagle Valley Middle to be discussed at upcoming School Board Meeting
The last Carson City School Board meeting of January will be held Tuesday, Jan. 28 in the Sierra Room of the Community Center, located at 851 E. William Street beginning at 7 p.m.
On the docket for discussion will be the rezoning of Fremont Elementary-zoned students for Eagle Valley, recognition of teachers, an update on the elementary reading program, and more.
The Attendance Zone for Eagle Valley Middle School could be modified so that students promoting from or residing in the Fremont Elementary School Attendance Zone shall attend Eagle Valley Middle School beginning with the Fall semester of the 2020-2021 School Year.
A recognition of Nationally Board Certified teachers will be held, which includes: Christina Bourne, Debra Crozier and Rachel Croft.
During the Superintendent’s Report, the 2019 Carson High School Winterfest Royal Court will be introduced, along with general announcements.
An informational update regarding the Elementary Reading Program, “Into Reading,” will be given by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.
A discussion and possible action will be held regarding the approval of the 2020 Career and Technical Education (CTE) Materials for Grades 9-12 for the Carson City School District to include: Culinary Arts and Marketing, as budgeted.
