Carson City's BAC to host World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra at Casino Fandango ballroom
The Brewery Arts Center, Carson City’s premiere epicenter for the arts since 1975, will bring the World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra for an intimate show at Casino Fandango’s new Grand Ballroom on March 13.
The legendary Glenn Miller Orchestra will get your toes tapping with hit songs like 'Moonlight Serenade,' 'In the Mood' and 'Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree.' They may be from an era gone by, but they still get under your skin. While Glenn Miller original band formed in 1938, the present Glenn Miller Orchestra was formed in 1956 and has been touring consistently since all around the world with their 18-member band.
The show begins at 7 p.m. With 500 seats available, these tickets are sure to sell out quickly. A limited number of premium tickets will be sold at $60 each and the general admission seats are $35. Enjoy a dinner and show package at either Ti’Amo tickets at $80 or Duke’s tickets for $100. Both restaurants packages will have a special menu for the show and include premium tickets with your purchase.
The proceeds for this show will benefit the Brewery Arts Center and will help to fund more great shows like this one. Tickets will be available at the Expresso Yourself Café inside the Brewery Arts Center or the ticket agent online at breweryarts.org or casinofandango.com.
The 18-members are formed of five saxophone players, four trumpeters, four trombonists, three rhythm musicians, and both a male and female vocalist; together, they play many of Miller’s well-known original arrangements while incorporating more modern selections in the classic-Miller style and sound. The Glenn Miller became one of the most successful bandleaders during the Swing Era, playing music for radios, theaters, and concert halls that people today will still love and recognize.
