Guard Michael Lewis II transfers from Duquesne to Nevada
There will be plenty of competition in Nevada’s backcourt next season, despite losing three senior guards from this year’s basketball squad.
Shooting guard Michael Lewis II, who led Duquesne in scoring during his freshman and sophomore seasons, is transferring to Nevada, the Reno school announced today. He left the school from Pittsburgh in December after he lost his starting job. Lewis will be eligible to play his senior season at the conclusion of the 2019 fall semester.
“We are excited to welcome Michael to our Wolf Pack family,” fourth-year Nevada coach Eric Musselman said in a press statement. “In our time at Nevada we have been very successful with transfers and we feel Michael is a player who not only fits our system but also fits our vision for the program. He has two years of experience playing at the Division I level in a competitive Atlantic 10 Conference and we look forward to him helping our program in the future.”
