Carson City arrests: Shoeless man high on meth jailed after knocking on doors in neighborhood
A 34-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday in the area of Spring and Gregg streets for misdemeanor suspicion of disorderly conduct, a sheriff's deputy said.
According to the arrest report, a deputy respond to the 2000 block of Empire Ranch Road for a report of a suspicious person. The reporting party told dispatch there was a man in her yard asking “how do I get out of this park.” The reporting party stated he seemed disoriented and appeared lost before leaving the property on foot southbound on Empire Ranch.
Deputies arrived and were advised of a 911 call in which the reporting party said a shoeless man was knocking on her door, stripping off his clothing and was screaming and yelling. The man was then seen taking off to other homes on Gregg Street.
A deputy located the suspect, who was running around without shoes, holding his clothing and knocking on the front door of a residence. The man was nervous and excitable and exhibited behavior consistent with someone under the influence of methamphetamine. The man told the arresting officer he had used methamphetamine the day prior and that day. He was arrested for suspicion of disorderly conduct. Bail: $242.
In other arrests:
— A 22-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday for obstructing, alternative sentencing violation, jaywalking and trespassing, a sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report, deputies were called to the 1500 block of Como Street regarding a man who had attempted to open the door of a residence. A deputy arrived on scene and located the suspect and asked to speak with him about why he was trespassing on the property.
The man then began to walk away from the residence and crossed the street. The officer made several commands, ordering the man to stop and speak with him. The man walked briskly away from the officer who eventually caught up with him and detained him.
The deputy learned the man was on Alternative Sentencing with a condition to obey all laws. He was arrested for a alternative sentencing violation, obstructing, jaywalking and trespassing. Bail: $3,741.
— A 61-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 7:15 p.m. in the area of North Stewart and King streets for a misdemeanor violation of suspended sentence warrant issued Jan. 11, 2019 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000.
— A 19-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Wednesday in the 1000 block of Saliman Road for misdemeanor suspicion of accident hit and run and contempt of court.
According to the arrest report, a deputy was dispatched to the area in reference to an accident hit and run. Dispatch explained the reporting party stated he was rear ended by a red 2008 Nissan Rogue and said he followed the vehicle to the Saliman Road address.
A deputy met with the suspect driver who identified herself and said she was in the area of Fifth and Carson Street and rear ended the man’s white 2006 GMC TopKick. She told the deputy she became scared and so she fled the scene in an attempt to drive home.
A wants and warrants check showed the woman to be under Alternative Sentencing supervision and was to obey all laws. She was taken into custody for the above charges. Bail: $1,122.
