Lyon County patrol deputy crashes into horses on Highway 50 in Dayton
The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a crash involving wild horses and a Lyon County sheriff's patrol vehicle that happened early Tuesday night on Highway 50 in Lyon County.
The crash was reported at around 5:53 p.m. east of Dayton near the intersection of Highway 50 and Enterprise Road. The deputy suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to NHP. The collision involves up to three horses.
NHP reports on its Twitter feed that all travel lanes are now open.
KOLO reports the deputy was taken by ground ambulance to the hospital and cites callers to the station that said the horses are dead.
