Youth Theatre Carson City's production of 'Beauty and the Beast, Jr.' begins Saturday

Youth Theatre Carson City is thrilled to announce our upcoming production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Jr., playing eight performances January 14-22, 2023 in the Bob Boldrick Theatre at the Carson City Community Center.
Based on the Academy Award winning motion picture and the Tony Award nominated Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Jr. tells the classic story of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress.
If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. If not, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Jr. features some of the most popular songs ever written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice.
Beauty and the Beast features the talents of over 100 local youth grades K-12, both onstage and off. Leading the cast are Amelia Nugent and Natalie Maguire as Belle, Parker Schmid and Jaymes Escobedo as The Beast; and Bay Eaton as the villain, Gaston. Also featured are Joss Pedersen and Madison Hager as Lumiere; Wabby Ronk and Emma Cavner as Mrs. Potts; Brookelyn McGee and Ben Achoka as Cogsworth; and a host of colorful characters bringing this beloved story to life.

Performances of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Jr. will run January 14, 19, 20 and 21 at 7pm and January 14, 15, 21 and 22 at 2pm in the Bob Boldrick Theatre at the Carson City Community Center located at 851 E.
