Man jailed for making multiple 911 calls, threatening Carson City dispatcher

A man was arrested Tuesday for suspicion of misuse of 911, a gross misdemeanor offense, and making improper telephone calls, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
Carson City Dispatch advised that the suspect had called 911 three times Tuesday and twice Monday to complain about his ex-girlfriend, the arrest report states.
During one of the 911 calls, he threatened an emergency dispatcher, saying on a recorded line that he was going to "kick her f***ing ass" when he finds her.
The dispatcher was attempting to provide the man with information on how to apply for a protection order when the threats were made, the report states. It has been estimated by Carson City Dispatch that the man has called 911 approximately 17 times since October 2021.
A deputy made contact earlier with the man and explained to him again how to apply for a protection order and warned him any further 911 calls without an emergency would result in his arrest.
After receiving additional calls, at approximately 4:28 p.m. a deputy contacted the man at his residence, where the man admitted to calling 911 multiple times and threatening an emergency dispatcher, the booking report states.
The deputy notes the man's behavior is becoming more aggressive and his constant calls to 911 are tying up emergency lines when there is no emergency. Based on his multiple 911 calls Tuesday, he was arrested for gross misdemeanor misuse of 911 and for making improper telephone calls, a misdemeanor offense. Bail: $3,137.
In other arrests:
— A 39-year-old Carson City woman was arrested for a misdemeanor violation of suspended sentence warrant issued in December. Bail: $1,000 cash only.
— A 33-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant. He was brought to Carson City from a California Correction Center and booked. Bail: $100,000.
— A 63-year-old Carson City woman was arrested early Wednesday for suspicion of obstructing/interfering with an officer.
According to the booking report deputies responded to a residence for a report of a battery. A reporting party advised a subject threatened to hit her with a chair. Officers arrived and the suspect became confrontational, and was aggressive toward a CCSO sergeant, who was attempting to calm her down. The officer stated when he went to place handcuffs on the woman, she pulled away. The incident was recorded on body cameras and from cameras in the house, the report states.
The deputy spoke with the victim, who's stated the suspect, who had been yelling and screaming earlier, grabbed a kitchen chair and threatened her with it. A large bottle of whiskey was found in the suspect's room and there was a strong odor of alcohol on her person. Bail: $2,500.
