Carson City man arrested after deputies locate a methamphetamine pipe he claims belongs to a co-worker
A 57-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the area of E. Nye Lane for speeding, driving with a revoked license, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to the report, deputies were patrolling the area when they observed a vehicle speeding at approximately 40 mph in a 25 mph zone.
Deputies stopped the vehicle and spoke with the man and learned he had a drug history as well as a revoked driver’s license.
K-9 Deputy Braum was dispatched to the scene, who conducted a free air exterior sniff of the vehicle, who gave a positive alert. Deputies located a glass pipe presumed to smoke methamphetamine beneath the seat.
The man told deputies the pipe did not belong to him and that a co-worker of his frequently rides in the vehicle, and that the vehicle was registered to his boss.
Deputies arrested the man for speeding, driving without a valid license, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

— A 48-year-old Red Bluff, Calif. man was arrested on the I-580 northbound on ramp at Highway 50 E. early Friday morning for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to the arrest report, Andy Anderson was arrested by Carson City Sheriff deputies after they observed a vehicle driving with expired registration and conducted a traffic stop.
During the traffic stop, K-9 deputy Remus arrived on scene and conducted an exterior sniff of the vehicle, who gave a positive alert.
Deputies located a methamphetamine pipe in a bag on the floorboard along with a small black zippered baggie containing approximately 3.5 grams of a white crystalline substance.
At the jail, Anderson told deputies the substance was methamphetamine and he had purchased it in Calif. for $60.
He was booked for felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

— A 43-year-old Fernley woman was booked on tree failure to appear contempt of court warrants, issued out of Fernley Municipal Court on Jan. 7, 2021.
Bail: $3,000 cash only
