Tahoe Ridge Winery remains open
Responding to rumors that Tahoe Ridge Winery and Bistro in Carson City has closed its doors, employees state the winery remains open for business.
“The bistro is closed for remodeling,” said winery production employee Carl Forlano. But the winery is still in business, he assured.
Daniel Nadler, another production employee, said Tahoe Ridge has targeted the bistro's bar area for a major remodeling project.
“They want to make it bigger, more open, and more socially friendly,” Nadler said. But the winery “is still open and doing well.”
The bistro closed right after Christmas, Forlano said, and an electronic message from the company’s main telephone number states the bistro is scheduled to reopen after the first of the year.
Northern Nevada vineyards located in Fallon, Yerington and Smith Valley remain contracted with Tahoe Ridge Winery to supply grapes for the company’s signature selections, Forlano said.
Tastings are being held in the back of the building, located at 1105 S. Carson Street, and the winery is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Besides wine, Tahoe Ridge is continuing to sell its signature lines of olive oils and balsamic vinegars. The company is offering sales on its products through the month of January.
