‘Ridezilla’ purchases Michael’s Cycles in Carson City; building expanded with room for new inventory
Carson City’s Michael’s Cycles has recently sold to a Georgia-based company, and has rebranded as “Ridezilla.”
The powersports store, selling everything from dirt bikes to ATVs, snowmobiles and everything in between, has operated in Carson City since the 80s.
Ridezilla is operated by the same corporate owners as Partzilla, an online company selling vehicle parts, riding gear, and more.
Ridezilla is now a part of Outdoor Network, which in addition to Partzilla and Ridezilla, operate boats.net, Powersportsplus.com, and Firedog.com.
Despite the purchase and the new name, long-time customers will find the same faces and same local atmosphere, according to Chris Law, Parts Manager of Ridezilla.
However, something that is new: the size of the building.
In early December, the expansion of the building was completed, doubling the size of the existing building.
“We’re able to stock a lot more inventory now,” Law said.
The expansion began at the end of September, and has now expanded with a 20,000 square foot showroom floor.
