Nevada Army Guard to mobilize Friday to Poland as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve
The Nevada Army Guard's 757th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion will mobilize beginning Friday for an approximately 1-year mission to Poland in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve.
The unit is set to deploy from Reno where around 70 soldiers will go to Poland and other nearby Baltic countries to provide combat sustainment logistical support for U.S. and partner nations, said Nevada National Guard Public Affairs Spokesman SFC Erick Studenicka.
They will be responsible for the command and control of a broad spectrum of sustainment operations to support of European deployment and redeployment requirements. Whatever type of supply is needed in the region during the upcoming year, the 757th will manage and oversee its timely distribution and delivery, said Studenicka.
With the mobilization of the 757th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, the Nevada Army Guard will have four units including nearly 200 Soldiers deployed across three continents, said Studenicka. This is the first time the Nevada Army Guard will have four units deployed simultaneously since 2010. A fifth unit, Company B, 2/641st Aviation, will also deploy later this winter to Africa.
