TVI team donation drive generates boxes of clothing, treats for Carson City's Do Drop In clients
On Tuesday, Dec 21, 2021, local paranormal investigative team, Thin Veil Investigators, presented several boxes and bags of clothing and treats to DeeDee Foremaster, founder of Carson City's Do Drop In, a Rural Center for Independent Living.
TVI's second annual donation drive for the center included a "Doc Durden Memorial Sox Drive," and a "Hot Apple Cider & Treats" event held at the Virginia City shops of Brian and Carmen Shoaf.
Since September, the local PI group has gathered hundreds of socks, jackets, hats and scarves, apparel and toiletries, plus hosted a “Candy Gathering” event to wrap up nearly 200 bags of treats.
The Do Drop In is a service to help people with disabilities, veterans and the homeless in this community for over two decades.
Services: Advocacy, housing; paper work; resources; Social Security; disability information; accessibility information. Do Drop In provides guests with services for food, clothing, shelter, needed items and a safe place.
