Carson City Parks, Rec and Open Space to host Full Moon Hike up C-Hill this Wednesday
Bundle up and join the Carson City Parks, Rec and Open Space for another adventure under the full moon. December's full moon hike this Wednesday will not only feature the beautiful "Cold Moon," we will also be getting a unique vantage point of the city's holiday decorations from atop C-Hill.
We will be meeting at the C-Hill McKay Dr. Trailhead off of Terrace St. at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 11. From there, we will hike up to the "C" or as far as trail conditions will allow us. The trail is a bit steep and is considered strenuous, so be prepared with plenty of water, appropriate footwear, layers, and flashlights. Dogs are allowed on this adventure, but must remain on a 6 foot leash. Minors must be accompanied by adults.
It is encouraged to sign up ahead of time at carson.org/ccpr; however, you can also register in person at the event. Check in time starts at 6 p.m. and parking will be available in the parking lot of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. For more information about this adventure, contact the Park Ranger Aide office at (775) 283-7711 or email Tyler Kerver at tkerver@carson.org.
