Ogres-Holm Pottery hosts Sgraffito Method Workshop Friday, Oct. 14
Ogres-Holm Pottery Studio is hosting a Sgraffito Method Workshop Friday, Oct. 14, at the studio in the Carson City Mall. This workshop will take place from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. and costs $85 per person. No prior pottery experience is necessary.
The Sgraffito Method is an 18th-century Italian pottery technique that consists of applying layers of color to your pottery and scratching off parts of the layers to create a one-of-a-kind dish with contrasting layers revealing the clay underneath.
Ogres-Holm will provide bowls premade and ready to go, along with instructions on the sgraffito method. It’s up to participants to let their imaginations run wild and create their own unique bowls.
After firing, participants will be invited back to the studio to collect their finished pieces. Book your spot online on the Ogres-Holm Pottery website here.
