New website available to help Carson City, Douglas families with child care when students not in school
The Carson Douglas Early Childhood Advisory Council announces their new website dedicated to helping families with finding child care while they are at work.
The website, cdecac.com found here, includes information on community services providing care, contact information of licensed child care programs in Carson City, a bulletin board enabling prospective providers to post availability as well as parents posting what they need.
The website also provides resources for the community, such as proper hand-washing technique, child development, and developmentally appropriate practice when working with children.
The CD ECAC created this site as a community resource directory for families who need child care options as the school district reopens. While the Carson-Douglas Early Childhood Advisory Council is compiling this information, they do not endorse any particular program, group or individual.
The mission of the Early Childhood Advisory Council of Carson City & Douglas County is to create a high-quality, coordinated system of services that support early childhood development.
