Carson City's Catmandu presents their Cat of the Week: Sam
Are you looking for a loving partner to snuggle with on these warm summer nights? Meet Sam. This big handsome ginger gentleman is a true love bug with a meow that will melt your heart. He takes a little time to warm up to new people and get comfortable in a new place, but he is worth the wait. Once comfortable, he will be a long lasting, faithful and affectionate companion.
Sam came to us in September 2020 when his person died. He has been in two different senior foster homes since then. Both times he was returned when the person was no longer able to care for him. Each time he comes back it is a little harder on him. He’s a little sadder and lonelier, a little slower to adjust to being back at Catmandu.
Sam is a large adult male orange Tabby. He is healthy, housetrained, neutered and up to date on his shots. Roughly eight years old, he is in the prime of his adult life. He still likes to play, once he is confident of his surroundings. Sam would love to find a furever home with a dog-free, mellow, low-energy family or a healthy senior citizen. He would be happiest as an only cat since he is timid and easily bullied. Are you the human family he longs for?
Although he is a little young, we would be willing to place him in the senior to senior foster program for the right person. To meet Sam and his many feline friends, please visit Catmandu, Friday – Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1829 Brown Street.
Catmandu is a cage-free non-profit cat sanctuary and rescue. Since opening in 2014, Catmandu has helped more than 2000 cats and kittens find a better life. Most of our cats and kittens come from disadvantaged backgrounds. They are strays, feral born, or abandoned. Catmandu needs the support of our community to stay open.
