Carson High grad on U.S. Ski Team spreads goodwill
Noah Giron, a 2018 Carson High graduate who is on the US Ski Team as a Ski Cross competitor, is currently in Canada, competing and promoting goodwill with potential future skiers.
The 23-year-old attended Carson City schools and graduated from Carson High in 2018. He was on the Carson High Ski Team, competing in Downhill Ski racing.
After graduation, his Carson High ski coach, Adrienne Schneider, suggested his skills were suitable to compete in Ski Cross.
He began training in Ski Cross at then Squaw Valley Ski Resort with Coach Mort Nyberg. He trains in Canada with the Canadian Ski Team as a member of the U.S. Ski Team.
From November until April of each year he travels and competes across Canada and Europe, including Austria, Switzerland, and Italy.
His parents are Doctor Gregory Giron and Monique Giron, living in Carson City, working at Renown and Carson Tahoe hospital.
During off season, Noah lives, works, and trains in Reno and Carson City preparing for the next Ski Cross season.
Besides living and breathing Ski Cross, Noah rock climbs and enjoys other outdoor activities in the Carson City/Tahoe area.
