Carson City Republican Party holds highly successful Lincoln Day Dinner and Fundraiser
On Saturday, February 16, 2019 the Carson City Republican Party held its annual Lincoln Day Dinner and Fundraiser at the Casino Fandango Grand Ballroom.
Bepsy Strasburg, Chairman of the Lincoln Day Committee, made sure that guests enjoyed a memorable evening with great food, entertainment and silent auction to celebrate the party of Lincoln.
Carson City GOP Chairman Paul Strasser introduced the distinguished State, Assembly and Carson City elected officials in attendance. Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske and Senator James Settelmeyer officiated two of the evening's fundraising activities.
Marti Cockell introduced character actress Kim Harris, who presented notorious Virginia City prostitute Julia Bulette.
Ms. Harris’ monologue brought the spirit of old Nevada alive.
Then, there was the Silent Auction of over 35 items generously donated by party benefactors and local businesses.
The evening closed with a motivating speech by the Nevada State GOP Chairman, Michael MacDonald.
The Carson City Republican Party would like to thank all of the volunteers and sponsors for their much appreciated contributions in making the Lincoln Day Dinner a terrific success. See you in February 2020.
