First 'Campagni Cares' recipient, Douglas Animal Welfare Group, chosen for January
Last month, the Campagni Auto Group and Carson City Toyota announced a new program in an effort to learn more about the great nonprofits that serve Northern Nevada.
As a part of “Campagni Cares,” the public is invited to nominate charities and nonprofits that mean something to them. Each and every month throughout 2021, the group at Carson City Toyota will select a nominated charity to donate money to and feature in a community spotlight.
“Everyone felt the impacts of 2020 in one way or another,” says Jeff Campagni, General Manager of Carson City Toyota, “So this new program gave us an opportunity to not only provide for community, but to also learn more about each other in the process.”
The Campagni Auto Group has a long history of philanthropy, donating to a diverse range of local nonprofits, programs, events and charities each year. This time however, the Group wants to hear from the community about what matters to them.
One such local charity with tremendous support is the Douglas Animal Welfare Group (DAWG), receiving over two dozen nominations in the first week alone. DAWG has been in the community since 2000 and serves Douglas County. In addition to their partnership with the local Douglas County animal shelter, DAWG facilitates several programs on their own, making a tremendous impact for animals and residents in Douglas County. With dozens of nominations, it was clear there are countless volunteers and community members supporting DAWG behind the scenes, earning them the inaugural nomination for the program.
Each and every month throughout 2021, Campagni Cares will select a nonprofit group or organization to donate money to and highlight for the local community. Selected recipients must be a registered 501(c)3 organization in good standing.
