Carson City's Pioneer High School early graduation candidate list announced
Zig Ziglar said, “I believe success is achieved by ordinary people with extraordinary determination.”
Several Pioneer High School students have demonstrated just how far determination can take you by working hard to graduate early. These Carson City students are all unique individuals, but they share some similar traits that help them succeed. Being ambitious and goal-oriented helps students to persevere.
To graduate early, students must have a reason or purpose that motivates them. Early graduates are eager for the future and want to move on to the next steps in life. They have goals that motivate them. For some, moving on to college is the goal.
Other students have a clear career path ahead and are eager to get started. Early graduates do not make a hasty decision to pursue this path. They spend time with the school counselor considering and discussing different options as well as possible challenges. However, the dedication that is shown translates into valuable life skills and job skills. The attitude it takes to accomplish the goal of early graduation is the same type of attitude that many employers value.
Not all highly motivated students pursue the path of early graduation. Many successful students choose the route of the Jump Start program. Through Jump Start, students can earn college credits while simultaneously earning high school credits. Whether it is through Jump Start or early graduation, many PHS students are excellent examples of determination. Congratulations to the following students:
