Screenwriting 101 (A one-day workshop with Award-Winning Screenwriter Sean Mick)
This intensive eight hour seminar covers all aspects of the screenwriter’s craft. Beginners will learn the tools needed to write their first screenplay. Advanced writers will increase their skills and gain valuable insights into the writing process.
Sean Mick studied filmmaking, history, and analysis at Sonoma State University in Northern California, then continued his training through seminars with some of the best screenwriting “gurus” in Hollywood, including Robert McKee.
A long-time Carson City, Nevada resident, Sean has placed scripts in the top ranks of the Nicholl Fellowships, Action On Film and Nevada Film Festivals, and is a winner of both the Gold and Bronze Prizes from the Page International Screenwriting Awards.
His first feature, the action/thriller “Silencer” (produced by Status Media & Entertainment), was released by Cinedigm in September 2018.
Note: it is recommended you watch “Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope” (1977) before the seminar. Other useful films are: “The Karate Kid” (1984 version), “Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid,” “A Quiet Place,” and “Casablanca”
