The Proscenium Players present ‘Four Weddings and an Elvis’
Four Weddings and an Elvis is coming to the Brewery Arts Center in Carson City! The Proscenium Players, Inc. is performing the hilarious 4-part comedy, written by Nancy Frick.
Show dates are February 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th at 7:30 p.m. and February 5th, 6th, 12th, and 13th and 2:00 p.m.
The play centers in a small Las Vegas wedding chapel that is host to some quirky characters in their outlandish nuptials.
Sandy is the owner of “Sandy’s Chapel of Love” who is four-times-married-three-times-divorced, and has seen her fair share of marriages!
The show is witness to four of the funniest wedding events: Bev and Stan, who are getting married – by the King himself! – as revenge on their exes; Vanessa and Bryce, two arrogant aging stars who are tying the knot as a publicity ploy and who are vexed by an aging Elvis who doesn't know who they are; and Marvin (a mild-mannered postal-worker) and Fiona (a tough ex-con trying to get married before the police arrive)! However, the final wedding is Sandy’s fifth and final wedding that includes a hilarious twist!
The play, directed by Jeff Basa, and showcased by a cast of many well-known and debuting local actors, is one of the most laughable and entertaining shows of the season.
Basa said, “Our current environment presented unique challenges unlike any in the past to bring this show to the community. Our audience should be most comfortable knowing we’re following the same safety precautions for all show patrons as done with the cast & crew. “
Four Weddings and an Elvis is a comedic treat (with adult content), delivered with lively dialogue by memorable characters!
