"The Three Musketeers," currently playing at the Fandango Galaxy cineplex in Carson City, is the umpteenth version of the Alexander Dumas Pere's novel. Like most of its predecessors, the best parts don't really fit together. Things are sort of pasted into a film with its bright spots and plodding moments.

D'Artagnan is a country youth out to join the famed three musketeers in the France of Louis XIII. He finds them by accidentally challenging them to duels on the same day. Somehow he works it out.

Due to celebrations for Nevada Day, the following road closures are expected for Saturday, October 29:

· Carson Street between Winnie Lane and Stewart Street and Stewart Street from its southern end to Little Lane will be closed beginning at 6:30 a.m. and will reopen at approximately 3:00 p.m. following the completion of the Nevada Day parade.

· Side streets along Carson Street between William Street and Winnie Lane will be closed for parade staging in the morning.

· Curry Street will be closed between Robinson and Musser Streets from 6:30 a.m. until 11:00 p.m.
