Carson City Sheriff: Mobile home loses wheels during haul, stuck on Fairview and Steamboat Drive
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Sun, 05/19/2024 - 11:43pmAn approximately 14 foot by 60 foot mobile home is disabled in the center turn lane at the corner of Fairview Drive and Steamboat Drive in Carson City and has disrupted the flow of traffic. Motorists can expect delays through Monday morning.
According to Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong, the mobile home lost 4 of its 6 wheels while it was being pulled Sunday evening by a truck.

A drug-detection canine was used to conduct a sniff of the vehicle. Deputies searched the vehicle and located drug paraphernalia along with an explosive device.

Lyon County Sheriff: Fernley residence target of early morning 'swatting' prank

The caller additionally provided that he barricaded himself inside the house, was armed with a rifle, and had planted pipe bombs at the residence.

They were joined by teams doing the same tests simultaneously in other regions of the watershed.
Rollover crash reported on Highway 50 near Flint Drive

First responders are on scene.
Motorists must use caution while in the area.
Crash with injuries reported on I-580 entrance from North Carson

According to dispatch there are two vehicles involved, one of which was towing a trailer.
Injuries have been reported and the number two lane is blocked.
Traffic cameras show vehicles are moving slowly but are able to get through to Washoe Valley.
Motorists must use caution in the area.
