Carson City supervisors vote to accept COVID-19 Health Equity Grant, procuring vaccination van
Submitted by Kelsey Penrose on Thu, 09/02/2021 - 12:50pmThe Carson City Board of Supervisors voted Thursday to accept a COVID-19 Health Equity grant from the CDC in the amount of $767,015.77 through June 30, 2024.
The acceptance of this grant will assist in addressing vaccine confidence among underserved populations, according to the agenda item.
Carson City supervisors agree on indecent conduct ordinance, table public drinking ordinance for review

Taste of Downtown Carson City canceled, event moved to June 2022

Calmer winds aid in Caldor firefighting efforts near Tahoe as fire stretches eastward

As of Thursday morning the fire was 210,259 acres and 25 percent contained.
Lyon County and NDOT work to improve traffic safety, study underway on US50 in Dayton

Commissioner Gray requested the meeting after a fatal accident last week.
Wildfire smoke continues to cause poor air quality across western Nevada valleys

State of Nevada thanks Stateline casinos for their assistance to first responders

Carson City School District to require everyone temporarily to wear masks
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Wed, 09/01/2021 - 2:14pmEffective Thursday, September 2, 2021, all Carson City School District students, parents, vendors, volunteers, visitors and guests, regardless of vaccination status, will be required to wear face coverings when indoors and while on school buses. The new requirement comes in response to increased student exclusions from close contacts of some infected students in schools throughout the district.
