Carson City deputies make string of alcohol-related arrests

A 50-year-old Galt, Calif., man was arrested early Tuesday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence, having an open container and not having a valid driver's license, all misdemeanors.
The man was reported by a witness to be passed out in his vehicle for more than an hour at a gas station in the 1600 block of East Fifth Street. Carson City Sheriff's Office deputies arrived and found the man sleeping with the vehicle running and the lights on, according to the arrest report.
Trio face felony burglary, larceny charges in theft of computers from Walmart
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Tue, 02/11/2014 - 2:28pmThree Carson City Jail inmates were booked Monday on felony charges of burglary and grand larceny following an investigation into the theft of three computers stolen from Walmart on Jan. 21, 2014.
The men arrested are Joseph Larson, 24 of Dayton, Michael Harrell and John Kramer, both 20. Each face bail amounts of $30,000.
Nevada game wardens seek help in deer slayings
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Tue, 02/11/2014 - 12:45pmGame wardens are seeking information on two mule deer does and one fawn that were shot and left near the Cold Creek community, about six miles from the High Desert Correctional Facility sometime in the early morning of January 25. Operation Game Thief is offering a $1,000 reward to help catch the poacher.
