According to Redfin, home prices in Nevada were up 9.7 percent year-over-year in February 2024. At the same time, the number of homes for sale in the state fell by 20.8 percent. While home prices are on the rise, the supply of homes for sale is not meeting demand, creating what is considered a “tight” housing market across the Silver State.

Mid-April is a good time to apply lawn fertilizer. The cool season grasses in Northern Nevada generally require two to five pounds of actual nitrogen (N) per 1000 square feet per year. Join Mountain Vista Baptist Church in Carson City for our Easter Eggstravaganza, March 30 from 10 a.m. to noon. We will have egg hunts broken up by age groups, popcorn, cookies, cotton candy, hot cocoa, and coffee. There will be fun crafts, bounce houses, other games, and the Easter Bunny.

Eagle Valley Middle School LEGO Robotics team got a big boost from the Rotary Club of Carson City this week. The team recently won the state championship and is the only team from Nevada to be invited to the World Festival in Houston, Texas. Rotary Club members donated $3,000.00 to help defray travel expenses.
