As an extra feature of the Saturday, June 3 downtown wine walk, the Carson City Chamber is sponsoring a free performance by the always popular United States Air Force Mobility Band, the high-energy pop and rock band of the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West stationed at Travis Air Force Base, Calif.

Empire Ranch Golf Course in east Carson City is currently flooded, and the course is closed until further notice.

“Due to excessive spring run-off and flood conditions, Empire Ranch Golf Course, Golf Shop, and Restaurant will be temporary closed,” a spokesperson for the course wrote. “We look to re-open with our best golf course conditions as soon as possible.”
