Carson City Library hosts community reading of 'To Be Taught, If Fortunate'

Capital City Reads takes place every April as a celebration of National Library Week, bringing people together through reading and discussion.
Friends of the Carson City Library Book Sale to be held Saturday

Fall-themed train rides from the Virginia Truckee Railroad Company and the Nevada State Railroad Museum will be available on Saturday and Sunday. A virtual “Light After Dark” fitness event will be held on Saturday to support the Carson City-based Advocated to End Domestic Violence program. Carson City's Browsers Corner Book Store kicks off grand reopening Saturday

Capital City Reads: My First Summer in the Sierra

Capital City Reads takes place every April as a celebration of National Library Week, bringing people together through reading and discussion.
This year’s program starts with National Library Week on April 19 and will run through May 16.
Southwest Gas donates nearly $3,000 to Friends of the Carson City Library

Carson City Parks Foundation announces 2020's 'Volunteer of the Years'

Parks Foundation president, David Johnson, announced on Friday that the Foundation’s Board of Directors, continuing the Foundation’s practice of recognizing outstanding contributions in furtherance of Carson City’s parks, recreational facilities and open space, designated Sandy Osheroff as the “2020 Volunteer of the Years” at their December meeting.

No RSVP is required to meet the new director. Those interested should simply head over to the library digitorium located at 900 N. Roop St. for an opportunity to get to know Colegrove more over coffee and a treat.
