
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a man suspected of domestic battery in which the victim was severely injured.
At around 8:35 p.m. Monday, deputies were called to a Walsh Street residence. Arriving officers met with the female victim who stated she was battered by Rico Wiggins of Carson City. Wiggins fled the scene prior to the arrival of deputies and the victim was taken to the hospital.
The victim was struck with such force that it caused severe damage to her orbital bone and she may lose her eye, investigators have been told.
Wiggins is believed to be in the Carson City area and is wanted for questioning in the battery. Wiggins is described as 6 feet tall, 180-200 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Wiggins has two scars over his left eye.
