UPDATE: Firefighters were called out late this afternoon to a brush fire in which a motorhome was destroyed by fire in the Brunswick Canyon area on the east side of Carson City.
Multiple fire units were responding to the fire, called out at around 4:40 p.m. Smoke and flames were reportedly visible in the area, in which the structure was burning and rounds of ammunition apparently going off inside the motorhome, according to firefighters arriving on scene.
The brush fire surrounding the structure is reportedly small in size, said Carson City Fire Chief Stacey Giomi. It does not appear to be spreading. Firefighters are calling it a working incident and will likely remain on scene for about an hour.
