Woman arrested in Carson City on nearly 30-year-old traffic ticket
A 47-year-old Reno woman was arrested in the 1400 block of E. College Parkway Tuesday afternoon on a failure to appear traffic warrant issued almost 30 years ago.
Patrolling deputies conducted a traffic stop after noticing the truck the woman was driving had expired plates from Idaho. The woman had a valid Idaho drivers license, but gave a Reno address to deputies as her residence.
Dispatch advised the woman had a warrant issued by the Justice Court of Wells Township for failing to appear on a traffic citation.
The warrant was issued December 17, 1990.
She was arrested on the warrant and transported to the Carson City Detention Center without incident.

—A prison inmate, Sarah Jane Norried, 35, was transported from Northern Nevada corrections for two warrants out of Carson City Justice Court.
The warrants charge her with burglary, obtaining money under false pretense, and uttering forged instruments.
According to the police report, Justice Court addressed the warrants and authorized Norried to be released back to the prison.
Bail: $40,000
—A 25-year-old Dayton man was arrested at the Carson City Jail Tuesday afternoon after being transported from Storey County on a Carson Township warrant.
The warrant was issued in May on a Contempt of Court charge after the man failed to provide a urine sample while on bail.
He was taken into custody without incident on the warrant.
Bail: $3,000 cash only
