Carson City area youth groups, organizations sought for 2019 Polar Express role participation
The 2019 Polar Express is inviting a limited number of Carson City area youth groups and organizations in the community to be a part of The Polar Express experience by portraying elves at the North Pole each year. For every night the group provides the required amount of elves, chaperones and works all three trains we will donate $100 to the groups for every night they perform.
“The Polar Express” event produced by the V&T Railway Commission with the permission of Rail Events, Inc. and Warner Bros. Productions. This is a 23-night event. This event begins Nov. 15 and ends on Christmas Eve,
Dec. 24.
Each night we do 3 trains which are one hour apart each night with the exception of Christmas Eve. On Christmas Eve we only do 2 train runs. This is a total of 68 trains.
Groups may sign up for as many nights to work as they like as long as they can guarantee a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 15 youths to portray elves each of the nights. Artistic/Production Director, Carla Wilson, will assign performance nights.
Every attempt to assign performance nights equally amongst the groups will be made, but is not always possible.
For information and/or an application to be a part of the Magical Polar Express please contact Carla Wilson at (775) 781-0664.
