Crash involving motorhome on Kingsbury Grade; Care Flight, multiple ambulances responding
UPDATE 5:33PM: The Nevada Highway Patrol reports that a female driver of a Nissan Pathfinder has died of injuries at a local hospital. Her name has not been released pending notification of family.

UPDATE 3:50PM: The Nevada Highway Patrol is reporting on its incident website that there's at least one fatality in Friday afternoon's crash on Kingsbury Grade involving a motorhome and passenger vehicle. Three were flown by Care Flight and two taken by ground ambulance with injuries.

UPDATE 3PM: Three patients were flown by air ambulance and two patients were taken by ground ambulance following the two-vehicle injury crash Friday afternoon involving a motorhome on State Route 207 Kingsbury Grade. Nevada Highway Patrol Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the accident.
Kingsbury Grade remains closed.

A motorhome and a passenger vehicle collided Friday afternoon on the valley side of Kingsbury Grade in Douglas County, causing a fire and the need for extrication with several people injured, according to dispatch.
The call came into dispatch at around 1:30 p.m. of a motorhome and a fire that happened following the crash on State Route 207 about a 1.5 miles from the top of Daggett Summit. At least three Care Flight air ambulances were ordered to the scene to take patients to the hospital. Ground ambulances were also called. Helicopters were to land at the bottom of Kingsbury Grade on Foothill Road.
Extrication was being done on some of the trapped victims. Kingsbury Grade is closed.
Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District and East Fork Fire Protection District were responding as well as Nevada Highway Patrol. Carson Fire Department has been called as mutual aid.
