Carson City Sheriff: Tuesday morning fire at Appion home is third arson being investigated
A fire Tuesday morning in the 1000 block of East Appion Way in Carson City is being investigated as arson, the third in as many days, said Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong.
A person of interest was brought in for questioning in the Tuesday morning fire and has been charged with misdemeanor threats, said Furlong. His bail was set at $575.
The investigation into the intentionally set fire on Appion Way, as well as those at the Foreman-Roberts House Museum early Sunday and Monday remain open and active, said Furlong.
The Carson City Fire and Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported fire at the 1000 block of East Appion in South Carson City at 1:35 a.m. At arrival, the fire was restricted to the front door of the occupied residence and had already been extinguished.
Emergency crews extinguished fires at the Foreman-Roberts House Museum in North Carson City early Sunday and Monday mornings. Both of the North Carson Street fires at the Foreman-Roberts House were also contained to the doorways.
