Brush fire reported at rifle range in East Carson City
UPDATE: 1:15PM: The Target Fire at the Carson City rifle range is now contained, Carson City Fire Department incident command reported, and crews are now in mop-up stage.

UDPATE: 12:58PM: Carson City fire crews have stopped forward progress on the Target Fire at the Carson City rifle range, according to Carson City Fire Department incident command.
Additional resources from neighboring agencies have been canceled.
The fire appears to be burning partly on BLM and partly on Carson City land, incident command reported.

UPDATE: 12:50PM: BLM resources in Minden are committing two brush engines to assist Carson City fire crews in battling the brush fire at the rifle range.
Units from Storey and Lyon counties are also committing resources to assist in fighting the Target Fire.

UPDATE: 12:30PM: According to a Sheriff's deputy on scene, the fire is closer to the first bay of the rifle range, burning through grass. The range is being evacuated.
Firefighters have arrived and report the fire is currently burning about one-third of an acre, backing down the hill at a slow rate.

Carson City Firefighters and Sheriff's deputies are being called to a possible brush fire at the rifle range in East Carson City, located at 4000 flint drive.
Witnesses on scene are reporting to Carson City Dispatch that the fire appears to be burning east from the range along a 400 yard-line and about two acres in size.
Carson City Fire Department has requested additional resource support from East Fork Fire and Bureau of Land Management.
