Carson City Fire Department, sheriff's deputies called to vehicle fire on Russell Way
Carson City sheriff's deputies and the fire department were called late Sunday night to the area of Russell Way for a vehicle fire.
The call came into dispatch just before 10:40 p.m. as a car on fire in the 1700 block of Russell Way. When Carson City sheriff's deputies arrived on scene, the car was in flames and then became fully engulfed with a number of explosions, according deputies via dispatch.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. No injuries are reported. Nearby residents are urged to stay out of the area. The cause of the fire, which was extinguished at 10:50 p.m., is under investigation.
