Firefighters called to area of Jack's Valley for reported Brush Fire
UPDATE 7:57 p.m.: The fire in the Jack's Valley Road area is contained at 2.7 acres and the road should be reopening soon, according to the Record Courier.
UPDATE 5:15 p.m.: Multiple lightning strikes are being reported throughout Douglas County. Additional units are being called from Tahoe and Truckee Meadows to offer assistance.

Around 4:20 p.m. on Friday afternoon, firefighters were called to the area of Jack's Valley Road on report of a brush fire.
This comes exactly one month following the Jack's Valley Fire that devastated 700 acres and forced evacuations of several neighborhoods in the area.
It is unknown at this time how large the Jack's Valley fire is at the time of this publication.
Douglas County issued the following:
No evacuations at this time but residents are being asked to remain vigilant. Aircraft are in route. Jacks Valley Road is shut down at Jack's Valley school and Genoa. We will continue to provide updates as they become available.
At the same time, firefighters were also called to the Mud Lake area on report of a second wildland fire, which was reported to be moving quickly and will be utilizing resources from Douglas County.
