Earthquakes continue to shake Antelope Valley south of Gardnerville, reaching 119 by Friday morning
Carson City and the surrounding region felt the shake just before 4 p.m. south of Gardnerville on Thursday in the Coleville, Antelope Valley region.
The quake led to fallen boulders across U.S. 395 near Bridgeport, causing a closure between the state line to State Route 182.
The quake that was felt was a 6.0 magnitude earthquake, which is why it was felt throughout the region; however, it was only the first of over a hundred that would continue to shake beneath the sierras throughout the day and night, and has continued into Friday morning.
As of 8 a.m., a total of 119 earthquakes have continued to shake the area, with the latest occurring at 7:27 a.m. northwest of Bridgeport.
