Carson City sheriff’s arrest log
A 34-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Sunday, 11:12 p.m. in the area of Beckworth Court on suspicion of domestic battery, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report officers were called after dispatch was advised by a neighbor of a domestic dispute. Officers arrived and met with the husband who explained he and his wife were drinking with neighbors when a suggestion was made to drink Jack Daniels.
The husband advised against it, cautioning his wife not to drink hard alcohol and to stick with wine and beer. The wife ignored her husband and took several shots. Later when the woman couldn’t find her cell phone, her husband said something to the effect of “I warned you not to drink Jack Daniels,” according to the arrest report. The woman allegedly punched her husband in the face twice. Officers observed blood on the man’s nose, mouth, hands and chin.
The husband advised he did not want to press charges. The arresting deputy advised that by law, officers are obligated to make an arrest if a primary aggressor in a domestic battery can be identified. Bail: $3,137.
