RV fire turns to brush fire at Washoe Lake State Park
UPDATE 1:08PM: The #WashoeFire has been contained at approximately 1 acre, according to Truckee Meadows Fire. The accidental fire started in an RV and traveled to the wildland. Crews are mopping up the area.

UPDATE: Crews are working to contain the brush fire, which started originally from an RV fire near the entrance of the state park, according to Truckee Meadows Fire. The fire was putting up much less smoke as of around 12:30 p.m. It is estimated to have burned around 1.2 acres, according to Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center.

Truckee Meadows Fire and Carson City Fire Department were called late Thursday morning to a brush fire that started from an RV fire at Washoe Lake State Park.
The fire was called in at around 11:43 a.m., with Carson City Fire Department called for mutual assistance at around 11:50 a.m. A battalion chief reported a heavy column of smoke coming from the fire and called it "pretty significant."
Carson City has sent a brush and the Capital City Hand Crew to the scene. It is unknown at this time if there are evacuations or how many structures are threatened.
